Wendy and JT Holsomback opened Bliss in 2007 with no business plan and one conviction — that it was a calling. Nearly two decades later, the salon they built still runs on a single question: how do we make this moment something she remembers?
Wendy and JT take a leap with no formal plan — only a feeling that this was theirs to do. They test it on a simple idea: if they can make a business work together, they can make a marriage work. They're right about both.
The first little shop sits on Foch Street, in the up-and-coming West 7th corridor. The conviction set that year — every decision made with the bride in mind — becomes the house's first quiet rule. It still holds.
By the end of 2011 the original space is bursting. In January 2012 Bliss moves down the street into the historic Camp Bowie and Hulen district — a much larger floor, room for more gowns, more brides, more "this is the one."
The collection grows from a single rail to hundreds of styles, from Boho to Ballroom, with designers chosen one at a time — only when each earns the floor.
In 2017 Bliss moves into the building it loves today, anchoring Fort Worth's Handley Wedding District. Private suites, a dedicated stylist for every bride, in-house alterations, and 400+ gowns under one roof.
Closed Sundays for family. Greeted most days by Max, the shop's English Cream Golden. The address has changed three times — the way a bride is treated here never has. We do more than sell wedding dresses. We create the memory.
It's about more than a gown.
It's creating heritage and memories.
Hand-finishing · The salon floor
Four hundred gowns under one roof. A hand-selected roster of designers plus our own Bliss private label. Private appointment suites, comfortable seating for the people who matter most, and a stylist who is yours alone for the visit.
Alterations are done in-house — our Bustle & Hem team finishes every gown by hand. After the wedding, our After the Aisle service cleans and preserves the dress, so the memory keeps its shape too.
